in-office whitening
Tooth whitening is safe, effective and long lasting. In our office we use Ultradent Boost, which can result in a dramatic shade change with one 90 minute visit to our office. This system results in little to no discomfort, unlike Zoom whitening, which dehydrates teeth. During this visit we apply whitening gel to the surfaces of your teeth and you will leave with visible results.
Take Home Tray Whitening
Tray bleaching is professional strength bleach contained by custom-made trays. The whitening gel is placed in the custom-fit trays that fit perfectly over your teeth and evenly dispense the bleach along all portions of your teeth. Unlike strips, the gel may contain ingredients to provide maximum comfort. Results are seen in as little as 3-5 days but may take up 1-2 weeks. This method is only available through your dentist office so call us today!
Teeth Whitening Strips
Whitening strips are pre made, thin, flexible plastic strips that contain bleaching materials within them on delivery. They come in packs of two and fit neatly over the upper and lower teeth. These are typically worn for 30 minutes a day, twice a day and have variable results.
Whitening Toothpaste and Mouthwash
These are the least expensive options and are designed to have “whitening” capabilities, however, these rarely actually change the shade of your teeth. More often they just help remove external stains, such as coffee or wine, which make your teeth appear lighter.
If you are thinking of other cosmetic improvements, such as crowns, porcelain veneers, or just replacing old discolored fillings, it may be worth considering whitening your teeth first. Any restorations we make for you can be matched to the whitened teeth, to give an overall great result. Please contact our office to discuss these options further.
